I do not even know where to start with One Piece Elbaf Arc. Twenty years bro. Twenty years of “someday we’ll go to Elbaf” and now we are there. Episode 1156 made me do the Luffy-Usopp childhood dance alone in my room at 1AM and I have zero shame about that. The new opening “Luminous” by AiNA THE END is already at 2.9 million views. Shanks, Loki, Dorry and Brogy, Blackbeard all converging on one island — this is the One Piece endgame and it is breathtaking.

Watch if: You have ever watched One Piece. Or if you want to understand why people cry over a cartoon about pirates. This arc is the reason the series exists.

🧙 2. Witch Hat Atelier

Witch Hat Atelier is the anime that woke up the entire fandom this season. Based on Kamome Shirahama’s Harvey Award-winning manga, it is the story of Coco — a regular girl who discovers magic is not hereditary, anyone can do it if they learn the right symbols. The art style is unlike anything else on TV right now. Painterly, detailed, and so beautiful it looks like moving illustration pages. I stayed up till 2AM watching Episode 1 and called it a masterpiece before the credits rolled. The #2 most anticipated new anime of the season — and it is delivering on every promise.

Watch if: You love fantasy, beautiful animation, emotional storytelling, or Harry Potter but wish it had more depth and less predictability.

⚔️ 3. Daemons of the Shadow Realm

Three words — Fullmetal Alchemist creator. That is all I needed to hear and honestly that is all YOU need to hear too. Hiromu Arakawa’s new manga Daemons of the Shadow Realm is finally animated by Studio Bones — the same studio behind FMA Brotherhood — and bhai it shows. The story follows twins Yuru and Asa who are separated from birth and must find each other, claim their birthright as rulers of supernatural beings called Daemons, and save the world. The themes of family, sacrifice and power versus humanity are so classically Arakawa that it feels like coming home. This anime is being called “Spring 2026’s FMA” — and after watching 3 episodes, that comparison is actually fair.

Watch if: You loved Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. You love action-adventure with emotional depth. You want the next big anime before it becomes mainstream.

🧠 4. Classroom of the Elite Season 4

Ayanokoji is back — and Season 4 picks up exactly where Season 3 left off with zero hand-holding for new viewers. Classroom of the Elite Season 4 covers the 2nd Year arc’s first semester and the political chess game of Class D vs the rest of the school is as sharp and satisfying as ever. If you loved Seasons 1–3, this is mandatory. If you have never watched COTE — go watch Season 1 first and then come back because this is not a starting point.

Watch if: You love psychological strategy anime, antiheroes who are three moves ahead, and the satisfying feeling of watching a mastermind operate.

⚔️ 6. Wistoria: Wand & Sword — Season 2

Will Serfort cannot use magic in a world where magic is everything — but he can fight with a sword better than anyone alive. Season 2 picks up after the stunning Season 1 finale and immediately raises the stakes. The action choreography in Wistoria is some of the best in the fantasy genre right now and Season 2’s first episode already showed that the animation budget is very much intact. If you slept on Season 1 — fix that this weekend and then jump into Season 2.

🌸 7. Mission: Yozakura Family — Season 2

Mission Yozakura Family is the most underrated anime of the past two years and Season 2 is finally here to fix that. A spy family action-comedy where a regular guy marries into Japan’s deadliest spy family — it sounds ridiculous but the mix of action, comedy and genuine emotional family warmth makes it completely addictive. Season 2 continues with higher stakes, more insane spy missions, and the relationship between Taiyo and the Yozakura family deepening in ways that actually hit emotionally. Good news — it is on Disney+ Hotstar India which means Indian viewers actually have easy access!

Watch if: You loved Spy x Family’s vibe but want more intense action. Or you want a fun, feel-good anime that does not take itself too seriously.

I have been watching anime for years and I cannot remember a season where I had this many genuine must-watches all dropping simultaneously. Normally there are 2–3 good shows per season and the rest is filler. This season? I have a proper schedule — One Piece Sunday night, Witch Hat Sunday morning, Daemons of the Shadow Realm Saturday, Classroom of the Elite Wednesday. My social life is basically gone till June and honestly? No regrets.

If I had to rank by personal enjoyment so far — One Piece Elbaf Arc is the emotional centrepiece that I have been waiting for since I started watching the show. Witch Hat Atelier is the most beautiful new anime in years and Daemons of the Shadow Realm is the sleeper hit that not enough people are talking about yet. When the FMA creator and Studio Bones combine and the result is THIS good — more people need to be watching it right now.
